Don’t forget we are physiologically constructed from a crystalline base. It represents a door between two kingdoms, mineral and biological, one archaic step always active in the Universe… […] I liked drawing [crystals] transparency, finding in them a curious feeling of well-being and graphic pleasure quite similar to the one I currently experience when drawing the desert.
