Carlos Giménez originally created his adaptation of Poe’s The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar in 1971, for the Spanish magazine Trinca (#8), but it was never published there due to “censorship problems”. The story was finally published in 1976 in Club de Amigos de la Historieta (#16), and then in the magazine Cimoc (#1), in 1979. In 2005 it was included in the anthology Sabor a menta y otras historias, published by Glénat.
