El Mercenario (The Mercenary), by Spanish artist Vicente Segrelles, was initially serialized, beginning in 1980, in the journal Cimoc, before moving on in 1982 to be published as a collection of 13 albums. At least 11 have been translated into English, primarily by NBM, which published also several Segrelles’ texts commenting the creative process.
